Reflection: After reading Greene, I questioned how I was supposed to write my research proposal and what I needed to be aware of. It was hard finding a topic that I was genuinely interested in and that I could relate back to the six steps I read about in Greene and how exactly to go about it. This reading was easier to understand than most of the readings we do and helped me understand the project better. My blog demonstrates my understanding of the reading as well as my concern and questions for the project.
Notes(journal)
In class, we wrote notes in our journal about four different ways to write a successful introduction. Writing an introduction is difficult for me and always takes a long time for me to figure out what to say. I like this because it showed me exactly what I could do to be successful. Interesting introductions are better to have but more difficult to write. This exercise demonstrates interesting introductions. We also did examples of our own that related to our project which was convenient and very useful. Although, in class, I didn't fully grasp how to write it perfectly, it gave me a start to how I wanted to write mine. In the final draft, I feel like my introduction was very strong and I feel it was because of this assignment/exercise in class.
Blog 2
After reading about identity by Gee, It gave me a new perspective. As I said in my blog, I never thought to much about the word identity and what it meant. People have many different identities. A way I can look at it is stereotypes; jock, geek, etc.. that is your identity weather you acknowledge it or not. At first when I was reading about identity, I did question it because I didn't agree that everyone has multiple personalities but now thinking about it more in depth, I do agree and understand it better. I like reading about things like this because it interesting and makes me question it or learn more in depth.
